Epoxy Seminar
Course Description:
Learn the fundamentals of working with epoxy in a safe and controlled manner. Learning about topcoats and epoxy pouring techniques in a controlled workshop with experienced crafts men supervising the students along every process. Learning how to use and build leak proof forums with various hand tools, and power tools. How to mix epoxy with the correct ratios, how to avoid air bubbles and sediment from being encapsulated in the hardened epoxy. How to repair blemishes cast in the hardened epoxy. How to clean up epoxy from spills & surfaces. How to do top & flood coats for various finish results.
Course Objectives:
Epoxy:
- Different types of epoxies and where to use them safely.
- Learn to build your form for deep pours and reduce mess from top/flood coat pours.
- Learn to sand and remove blemishes from epoxy.
- Learn to clean up epoxy and dispose of it safely.
- Learn how to finish epoxy with the desired results.
Course Requirements:
All participants must attend our workshop safety seminar prior to attending the workshop. The safety seminars will be an hour long where at the beginning of the first workshop where our instructors discuss proper techniques and potential risks associated with working around the various tools used in the workshop.
All our participants are required to wear Steel toe shoes, ear, eye protective equipment at all times in the shop. Respiratory equipment will be required when sanding during particularly dusty environments.
Ear, Eye, and Respiratory Equipment will be provided for each course date.
Steel Toe boots are not provided but are required to work in the shop. Loaner boots can be provided upon request, for an additional rental fee of $25.00 per day.
All participants must read, sign and date the waiver of liability prior to participating in the workshop.
